This is an intriguing, provocative piece and I can easily think of people who fit in the Jungian-like archetypes you describe of the good girl, devouring mother, the good boy, lost father etc.
When you write "in the West" throughout your piece, I assume you're mostly referring to college-educated, urban residents? (And probably more Northern European than Southern or Eastern European?) I don't see the same trends in the rural US, Eastern Europe, or most of the world.
From the biographical notes you shared, you seem to have grown up in a household that "related mostly through politics." And then later in life, you became more in touch with your sexuality and the power of seduction. But the majority of women (certainly here in Mexico) still grow up assuming that beauty, sexuality, and seduction are the pathways to power and economic security. I imagine there are a lot of women around the world, including in the West, who would love to spend less time on makeup and more time starting businesses, reading philosophy, and getting involved in politics.
I'm wary of blanket recommendations that women should focus on cultivating their sexuality and seduction while men aspire to become the "geo-political Alpha Male."
I don't mean to criticize your approach. I imagine that your coaching is transformative for female executives who feel alienated from their power of seduction/charisma. (Charisma, one of those words that is often a compliment for men but criticism for women.)
It seems like we should celebrate the fact that there are more ways for women to gain power in society today than merely through the constrained archetypes of the past focused on their sexuality and ability to care for others.
Thank you for the piece. It's nice to read something that goes against convention. It prompted several reflections for me.
Thanks for your feedback, David! I appreciate your reflections and questions, and I'm glad it prompted several reflections for you.
It doesn't seem you've read my other pieces where I share more about the underlying philosophy of what I'm teaching, so I wanted to offer a deeper explanation here.
When I speak about Awakening Feminine Leadership, Pleasure, Power and Presence, I'm teaching women to move into embodiment instead of being disassociated, in their heads, and burned out. Most women who come to me are high-achievers often with a strong intellect, and they long for a different way of existing, achieving and leading.
When a woman connects with her pussy, besides the strengthening of the vagus nerve, and learns how to connect with what she really wants - and express that, she moves into a new confidence, and above all, for many women, it's a spiritual awakening. Experiencing this with other women, connects her with a more sensual and felt experience of the world, which eases anxiety. Furthermore, in this process, and with the deeper layers of what I teach, women find it easier to differentiate (since women have, generally speaking, higher rates of agreeableness, and more mirroring neurons), to say no, set clear boundaries and choose her own authentic path.
Since we mostly have seen male power expressions in the world, I and many with me, thought we needed to imitate men's power expressions, which we don't have enough testosterone for, so we burn out. An alternate, and much more appealing path, is to connect with this embodied power, supported by sexual energy, by life-force and being anchored in our genitals. When we add flirtation and seduction, when we become playful, it increases all the feel-good hormones. But it's not aimed at men per se, or manipulation, as you refer to what you see expressed in Mexico. The primary objective is to seduce ourselves to a higher state of consciousness, not holding things so tightly, using sexual energy and Eros as a way to connect, which is innocent, pure and playful, and seductive. At its core it is the path of being seduced by life and the divine erotic feminine.
So in essence, it's a spiritual path, inspired by Tantric and Daoist lineages, as well as Sufism, depth psychology, breath work, Shamanism and many other traditions, with a focus on inquiry, since I'm a student of the Diamond Approach since many years. Men often find it strange to equate sexuality with spirituality, but that's because men's and women's sexuality are almost opposites of one another. For women, it's not about focused penetration, but about energetic diffusion, and moving into a state most men need psychedelics to get in contact with. When this is practiced regularly, and applied to leadership, it's a game changer. I've never experienced anything like this on a transformational level before.
Regarding the women I work with, they come from all over, including China, Mexico, the US, Eastern Europe, even though the majority still is located in Western Europe. While there are cultural differences, especially expressed through shyness, when women connect with themselves at this level with other women (on zoom, btw), it's all the same. Pure joy, pure power and pure presence. What women do with that, and how they express themselves afterwards, is not my focus. My interest is primarily how to strengthen this 'frequency' on a meta level, to support women to wake up to this power, and move into their own authentic expression. But I do know from experience that their leadership changes, and they find new ways to feel empowered, without burning out.
Regarding seduction. I've just renamed this substack to Love, Seduction and Free Speech, which also is the name of my new podcast, and it reflects my more intellectual orientation, where I want to have deeper conversations, also with men, about the role of the feminine, the masculine, women's sexuality, spirituality, free speech and geopolitics, so I'm taking a playful approach to talk about pretty gnarly topics, especially connected to geopolitics and authoritarian movements. But I understand that the term 'seduction' will trigger some assumptions. I've taken upon myself to reclaim the term and the sentiment, and to celebrate another definition, which is a form of devotion, with a glean in the eye. Yes, there's a sexual vibe, but it's the opposite of manipulation. Imagine the banter in American movies from the 1930s or 40s, where women and men played with sexual energy, in a quite refined way, without having sex. Hence seduction in what I teach is pure, joyful and an ode to life-force.
A final note. I invite men at times to meet women who practice Awakening Feminine Leadership. We meet on zoom and do inquiry together. Even in this somewhat restrained format, men get so happy to meet women in this frequency because the energy is fantastic and they feel so celebrated and valued. Most women who take my programs are in relationship and many have children, and their male partners thank me all the time, not only because they have more sex, but because of the validation they get, how they benefit from the joy she is contact with and the playfulness they both get to experience. And they both rise in the higher versions of the feminine and the masculine, without even trying to.
A lengthy reply, but I wanted to honor your questions, and offer a deeper explanation of what I believe is the cure the world has been looking for, without knowing about it:). Thank you for reading!
